Smith & Bybee Wetlands Natural Area

A Metro Natural Area
5300 N Marine Drive

One of America’s largest urban wetlands and a major flyway for migrating ducks, geese, egrets, herons, and more. Includes a place to set in for kayaks and canoes.

Not Allowed

  • Dogs and other pets are not allowed to protect sensitive habitat
  • Hunting
  • Drones and other remote controlled vehicles

Amenities

  • Two seasonally filled lakes
  • Birdwatching
  • Picnic areas
  • Restroom
  • Seasonal paddling as water levels allow
